In this day and age substance abuse has become a serious problem for society on a global scale.  More and more organisations are attempting to deal with this problem.  Some of these organisations are beginning to include the use of complementary therapies in their treatment and rehabilitation programmes.

In response to this VHF Energy Med has put together the following workshops for people who have had experience of substance abuse and those who work within this field:

Drugs and the Subtle Energies
Drug rehabilitation programmes are an excellent way to begin to change patterns of abuse in clients, however, on occasions changing one pattern of abuse for another and reuse are common problems.  This can sometimes be the result of reoccurring patterns that are only partially cleared by using conventional methods.

Energy work begins to work on patterns of abuse on the most subtle of levels. The following workshop has been designed for clients who have been clear of taking any heavy drugs or medication for at least 6 months to a year.

• Why do people abuse substances
• How does it affect the subtle energies
• How can these energies begin to be repaired and restructured
• A look at patterns of addiction and how to begin changing them

Working with Substance abuse
Many people who work within this field often express how rewarding it can be, however, a large number of people also state how difficult and energetically draining it can be.

The following workshop has been designed for people who work closely with people who have a history of substance abuse.  The workshop covers the following topics:

• A look at how clients may affect us daily
• A look at our natural coping mechanisms
• How simple energy medicine techniques may be of help
